The South Korean military reported this incident. The missile tests occurred concurrently with the commencement of joint drills between South Korea and the United States, which were scheduled to last approximately ten days.
According to reports from the media The Independent , North Korea's state media heavily criticized the combined military exercises conducted by Seoul and Washington , which the two allies schedule each year.
Moreover, the North Korean authorities, deeply outraged, warned the two nations, emphasizing that they would face a "dire" consequence for engaging in this "provocative act."
