TVB Actor Tsui Wing Reveals Six-Figure Losses From Failed Tuition Business

Hong Kong actor Tsui Wing spoke openly about suffering a significant financial blow from a unsuccessful business endeavor that led to losses amounting to hundreds of thousands of dollars.

According to The Star , in an interview with Headline Daily Tsui clarified, "I had bad luck."

A mere year following our launch, the pandemic struck and continued for three years," he explained. "Naturally, I was forced to close my business. It resulted in losing a substantial six-figure amount.

The actor mentioned that establishing the tuition center was one of his strategies to broaden his sources of income over the past few years. Looking back at his diverse range of experiences prior to joining the entertainment sector, Tsui disclosed that he took on various roles such as being a chef, working in construction, and driving for deliveries.

Reflecting on the past, I believed I was unstoppable... that there were no limits to what I could achieve,” Tsui stated. “Only when I entered the entertainment business and encountered many others did I come to understand my own insignificance, recognize all that I needed to acquire, and acknowledge everything I lacked.”

He proceeded to explain that becoming part of TVB in 1998, when he started his career, significantly reshaped his life on multiple levels—professionally as well as personally. Tsui attributes much of this change to his tenure at the network, which made him a more laid-back and approachable person.

He mentioned, "Every significant event in my life occurred during my time at TVB. In 2006, I got married; then, in 2007, we had our first child. After that, I began securing larger parts in productions. My second child was born in 2015, and recently, my son reached adulthood at 18 years old."

Everything in my life has developed within this organization.

Tsui, who is 51 years old, is most recognized for his performances in the television series "Best Selling Secrets," which ran from 2007 to 2008, and "Come Home Love," a show that was broadcast between 2012 and 2015.
