Keisha Buchanan of Sugababes Allegedly Assaulted by Ex-Footballer Who Dictated Her Diet

Sugababes Singer Keisha Buchanan’s former partner, a footballer, reportedly conducted a decade-long "campaign of terror and abuse" against her.
The court was informed of the accusations made against Taiwo. Leo Atieno, aged 39, faced various forms of intimidation including physical abuse and being prohibited from wearing red lipstick, along with several other coercive acts.

Prosecutor Edward Kalber informed Willesden Magistrates' Court today: "The offense is serious in nature and has led to significant issues for the defendant, encompassing both psychological and physical distress."
'The complainant indicates that during the time she resided with the defendant, she was not permitted to handle her own correspondence or manage her financial affairs.'
'The complainant would need to request funds every time she required them.'

'The defendant would become irritated when the complainant wore red lipstick. He scolded her, calling her vulgar, and claimed she resembled a prostitute every time she sported this look.'
Mr. Kalber added, "This subsequently contributed to her eating disorders because the defendant controlled her diet."
Taiwo reportedly conducted three attacks on Keisha, with two occurring in the defendant’s bedroom and one taking place in the front room.
It is claimed that the singer had to go through physiotherapy due to the reported physical abuse.
Despite being prohibited by a court order from reaching out to her through any means, the football player supposedly persisted in attempting to get in touch with his former partner and is now charged with harassment spanning three years.
The announcement of the court case coincides with SugaBabes returning to their concert tours.
