Trump Demands Investigation Into High-Profile Critic for Treason Accusations

President Trump has criticized a government informant and initiated a comprehensive inquiry into possible 'treason.'

He instructed the Justice Department to thoroughly investigate Miles Taylor, A previous chief of staff at the Department of Homeland Security who disclosed confidential information regarding the operations within the final Trump administration.

In 2018, Taylor wrote an anonymous opinion piece for the New York Times titled 'I Am Part of theResistance Movement Within the Trump Administration.'

"I serve the president, yet my like-minded colleagues and I have pledged to block certain aspects of his agenda and his more extreme tendencies," he stated.

The article outlined a sequence of controversies and internal disturbances, ultimately leading to his involvement. releasing a confidential exposé book in 2019.

He disclosed his identity before the event. 2020 election , causing some letdown among readers who had anticipated the author would nearer to Trump's close associates or a prominent figure.

However, Trump is now aiming for revenge, directing an extensive inquiry and halting all security clearances for Taylor as well as another staff member from his administration who went against him in 2020, Christopher Krebs.

"I believe he’s guilty of treason, to tell you the truth, but we’ll uncover the facts... nasty individual," Trump commented about Taylor.

Trump said he always thought the book was 'terrible,' but the investigation will now give an opportunity to once and for all 'find out whether or not it was terrible.'

'That’s right,' Trump said. 'It was all made up, and he managed to get a significant amount of media attention. He ended up with a good position at CNN or somewhere similar. I believe we need to address this issue.'

Taylor responded on X to the order with a warning: "I predicted this outcome. Expressing dissent isn't illegal. Certainly not traitorous."

'America is moving towards a bleak future. No one has clumsily validated someone else’s argument as much as this individual has.'

Trump has issued a similar order against former director of the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency Christopher Krebs.

Krebs was dismissed in November 2020 because he maintained that the election Trump had lost was not compromised. tampered with and was actually considered the 'most secure' in American history .

Trump said Krebs was 'a wiseguy.'

"We’re also going to investigate this fellow since he’s known for being cunning," he stated.

In his directive, Trump called for an examination of Taylor’s actions as a public servant to uncover any occasions when his behavior seemed at odds with the suitability criteria set for federal workers or included the improper sharing of sensitive classified data.

He stated that his aim is to 'eliminate governmental treachery,' and insisted 'Taylor is a dishonest individual who used and exploited his official capacity as a political tool.'

The White House issued a statement saying Taylor prioritized his individual ambitions, personal fame, and financial benefits above loyalty to his constitutional vows.

Taylor revealed confidential details acquired via improper means and violated the trust of his colleagues.

As for Krebs, Trump stated that he was also considered a 'bad faith actor' from his previous administration.

The White House stated in a release that he "turned Government authority into a weapon and misused it."

'Krebs’ wrongdoing included censoring speech that criticized the 2020 election and the COVID-19 pandemic.'
