Israel Alerts Egypt: Heavy Equipment Deployed in Rafah, Establishing Buffer Zone

On Thursday, according to Lebanon’s Al-Akhbar, which has ties to Hezbollah, the Israeli Defense Forces notified the Egyptian military about their plan to turn Rafah into a “full buffer zone” and position substantial machinery in the region.

The report indicated that Israeli authorities advised Cairo against dispatching extra military support to the Gaza border region.
