VN-Index Soars: 3-Session Winning Streak Continues

On Wednesday, Vietnam's benchmark VN-Index climbed 0.68%, reaching 1,250.37 points as it marked its third day of gains consecutively.

The index finished 8.42 points higher following an increase of 1.9 points in the prior session.

Trading on the Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange dropped by 3.4%, reaching VND17.2 trillion (US$662.6 million).

The VN-30 index, which includes the 30 biggest capitalized stocks, experienced gains in 14 of its components.

The stock for Vingroup’s VIC surged by 4.11%, Bao Viet Holdings’ BVH climbed 3.16%, and Vietnam Rubber Group’s GVR finished 2.26% higher.

Eleven blue chips fell. MSN of conglomerate Masan Group dropped 1.77%, HDB of HDBank slid 1.41%, and SSI of brokerage SSI Securities Corporation went down 1.3%.

Foreign investors were net buyers to the amount of VND900 billion, primarily acquiring shares in DXG from the property developer Dat Xanh Group and NLG from the real estate developer Nam Long Investment Corporation.

The HNX-Index, which tracks mid and small cap stocks on the Hanoi Stock Exchange, increased by 0.55%, whereas the UPCoM-Index for the Unlisted Public Companies Market declined slightly by 0.02%.
