LG Claims Top TAB Award for Groundbreaking Inclusive Smart Tech

LG Electronics (Thailand) has received the prestigious TAB Digital Inclusive Award 2025 from the Thailand Association of the Blind (TAB), recognising the company's commitment to accessible innovation. The award highlights the LG ThinQ app's user-centric design, particularly its advanced features for individuals with visual impairments.

The LG ThinQ application, connecting over 500 million LG gadgets globally, empowers users to effortlessly oversee and operate their household appliances from afar. Created with an inclusive approach, this artificial intelligence-driven interface includes accessibility options such as Voice Over and Audio Alerts, enabling visually challenged individuals to autonomously handle devices including washing machines, fridges, and AC units.

"The ThinQ app has significantly improved my daily life," said Mr Itsawat Banlawanich, a visually impaired programmer from the National Science and Technology Development Agency. "Using voice-over functionality, I can easily control my appliances, check settings, and monitor energy use, giving me more independence and making my home more efficient."
