Killings in Plateau: Genocide and Sponsorship Exposed — International Edition
The Governor of Plateau State, Caleb Mutfwang, has characterized the recent killings in the state as genocidal, claiming that they were orchestrated.
Remember that on March 28, 2025, at least 52 individuals, some of whom were children, lost their lives after alleged herder assaults on various communities within the Bokkos and Bassa Local Government Areas and nearby regions of the state.
During an appearance on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Tuesday, Muftwang expressed his anger over the killings and blamed these incidents on unknown terrorist organizations.
He said that the attack on Plateau State is funded with the intention of demolishing communities in the area.
The governor said, "With complete sincerity, I must say that I cannot come up with any justification apart from terrorism-driven genocide."
The key issue is identifying those standing behind the organizers of this terror. It’s up to our security agencies to assist us in uncovering these individuals.
We need to reach a stage where we recognize the sponsors since this goes beyond the efforts of typical individuals.
