Arsenal are anticipated to spark renewed interest in Christopher Nkunku following up with the approach for the Chelsea According to French reports, this will move forward in January.
Nkunku signed with Chelsea for £52 million from RB Leipzig in 2023; however, his initial season at Stamford Bridge was marred by knee, hip, and hamstring injuries.

Arsenal needed a new forward but decided against bringing in any reinforcements during the January transfer period. Following their £40m bid for Aston Villa’s Ollie Watkins being turned down .

It's clear that Arsenal currently has Viktor Gyokeres from Sporting CP and Benjamin Sesko from RB Leipzig at the forefront of their list of target strikers as they look towards the upcoming summer transfer window.
Arsenal are also well-placed to seal the deal. A £51m ($60m) agreement to secure Real Sociedad's midfield talent Martin Zubimendi.
Meanwhile, Nkunku was left out of Chelsea’s team for their 2-1 victory over Fulham on Saturday.
'From day one, I've simply aimed to give my best for the club, and each decision I make is with the club's best interests at heart,' Mareska stated earlier this week.
'I understand that using Christo comes at a high cost, and Ty [Tyrique George] is from the academy, but I still need to make these choices.'
When asked about Nkunku's reaction to that setback, Maresca stated: 'Over the past week, despite being sidelined, he has handled it well.'
'We have to choose one or two players to step aside and provide opportunities for younger athletes. That’s why this decision was made initially, but now he has returned to the team. He is performing well in practice.'
‘Probably in this moment, if he is in the squad, one offensive player has to be out for the Fulham game and that probably would have been Tyrique.’
