Ranjit Savarkar Blasts Owaisi: Alleges Treason Against Aurangzeb's Legacy
Mumbai (Maharashtra), India — March 15 (ANI):: Ranjit Savarkar , grandson of Vinayak Damodar Savarkar and the Chairperson of Swatantryaveer Savarkar Rashtriya Smarak criticized All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) leader Asaduddin Owaisi and tagged him as a supporter of Aurangzeb and a "turncoat" due to his comments criticizing the Hindutva ideology.
He stated that Owaisi's objective was to "misguide Muslims" in India and "stir up animosity" among them towards the nation. Ranjit further mentioned that his grandfather never showed disrespect toward Sambhaji Maharaj.
"Their only objective is to deceive Indian Muslims and provoke them into turning against their nation. Such is his legacy. Savarkar held Sambhaji Maharaj in high regard. Later, in 1944, Kasim Rizvi, labeled as an Islamic extremist, founded the Razakars organization in Hyderabad with the intent to murder, assault, and forcibly change Hindu individuals' faiths," he stated.
Ranjit asserted that connections existed between Kasim Rizvi and Owaisi’s grandfather, claiming that the primary objective of AIMIM was to instigate animosity among Muslims towards Hindus with the ultimate intent of eliminating Muslim individuals. He further accused Owaisi of adhering to the ideologies propagated during Aurangzeb's era, thereby calling for governmental intervention against him.
When the Indian government banished him to Pakistan, he transferred AIMIM leadership to Owaisi's grandfather. The party’s objective is to marginalize Muslims by instigating conflict between them and Hindus. In his statement, Owaisi’s younger sibling declared, ‘Hand India over to us for just 15 minutes and witness what happens.’ Owaisi adheres to the ideologies of Aurangzeb. Consequently, the administration must intervene against Owaisi. Furthermore, he holds great reverence for Aurangzeb’s mausoleum. Therefore, according to Ranjit, he is considered a traitor.
His response follows Owasisi's claim that "MS Golwalkar, the late RSS leader, used some of the harshest terms for Sambhaji Maharaj in his book 'Bunch of Ideas.' Additionally, Veer Savarkar, a prominent figure associated with Hindutva ideology, also employed strong derogatory language when referring to Sambhaji Maharaj."
Following Owaisi’s comment, Delhi Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa remarked that Veer Savarkar's efforts and contributions to the nation should not be overlooked.
The service and contributions made by Veer Savarkar for this nation remain unforgettable. Should anyone view his accomplishments from the perspective of a specific religion, that would be their personal viewpoint. Likewise, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj stands as a source of national pride,” stated Sirsa. (ANI)
