Trying out the local dishes is often a top attraction for numerous travelers—so where can one discover the finest meals?
Fortunately, a travel guide has published its ranking of the top 100 dishes worldwide, highlighting the variety of meals and treats that tickle the palates around the planet.
From Neapolitan pizza to Panang curry, TasteAtlas presented its yearly compilation of top-rated dishes.
According to an experiential travel online guide which analyzed 335,106 reviews of 11,258 meals within their database, they have unveiled the top 100 most delicious dishes globally.
However, this was unfortunate for the UK, as the roundup did not encompass any British dishes – rather, it spotlighted classic recipes from various other locations. Germany , America, France , Brazil and Italy .
Leading the list was lechona, a classic Colombian cuisine featuring a complete roasted pig filled with an assortment of components like onions, peas, fresh herbs, and spices.
Scored 4.78 out of five on the platform, this dish is commonly prepared for festivities as a single suckling pig can yield over 100 portions at times.
However, travelers might also find this Colombian specialty at certain eateries in bigger cities, as per the guide.

The Neapolitan pizza came in second place. Typically, this Italian delicacy features a fairly thin base except for the edges, which puff up into small tire-like rims upon baking.
The pizza is crafted using a traditional wood-fired brick oven and comes in two classic variations: Marinara (featuring tomato, garlic, oregano, and olive oil), and the more renowned Margherita (comprising tomato, mozzarella, olive oil, and fresh basil).
According to tradition, the Margherita pizza was crafted in 1889 by a native chef for Italy’s Queen Margherita during her visit to the city. The colors of this pizza—red, white, and green—are symbolic of the Italian national tricolor.
Meanwhile, Picanha secured the third position, as this Brazilian delicacy involves a succulent piece of beef sourced from a particular section of the animal, typically cooked over an open flame.
Following that, the guide highlighted Rechta, a traditional Algerian cuisine consisting of flat, fresh noodles paired with a savory chicken sauce. This dish is commonly distributed during wedding celebrations due to its festive nature.
Fifth place went to Thai panang curry, typically prepared with beef, chicken, duck, or pork, and usually presented without including any vegetables in the sauce.
Although numerous Thai curries tend to be soup-like, panang features a less liquidy coating that is dense, sweet, savory, and nutty, subtly spiced with cumin, coriander, and nutmeg.
A barbecue secured the sixth spot in the guide, where the term denotes both a method of preparing food and a communal gathering in various South American nations.

Often compared to a barbecue, this event brings together family and friends, where beef, pork, chicken, and chorizo are grilled outdoors using a specially constructed brick fireplace known as a parrilla.
Çökertme kebap – a traditional Turkish dish consisting of marinated veal slices, crispy fries, tomato sauce, and yogurt – claimed the seventh spot in the definitive guide.
In the meantime, the eighth spot was claimed by rawon, an Indonesian beef soup famous for its dark hue, which comes from the special blend of spices used in its preparation.
The ninth position was awarded to Cağ kebabı, a traditional dish believed to have originated in the Erzurum Province of Turkey.
The lamb is soaked in an onion marinade for a minimum of 24 hours before being threaded onto skewers and cooked over an open flame to create this delectable dish.
Occupying the tenth position was tibs — an acclaimed Ethiopian cuisine consisting of sautéed meat and veggies bathed in a flavorful sauce.
