Ogun lawmaker boosts child healthcare with first aid kit donations to pupils
In an effort to promote children’s well-being and security, Hon. Adebukanla Jamiu, who serves as the Councilor for Ward 4 in Ijebu Ode Local Government, has provided first aid kits to numerous primary school students within his constituency.
The contribution was directed toward Otubu Memorial Primary School, Community Primary School, St. Michael Primary School, and Joke Taiwo Primary School—all located in Apebi within the Ijebu Ode area. This gesture forms part of his persistent dedication to enhancing the well-being of young students and providing them with secure educational spaces.
During his address, Hon. Adebukanla highlighted the significance of early healthcare education and being well-prepared for safety measures.
"As a Councilor for the Apebi area, I am presenting this First Aid Kit to the students at primary schools within my constituency. It's important to note that children devote much of their day to schooling, and ensuring they have easy access to essential medical resources during emergencies is crucial," he stated.
He encouraged the students at the elementary schools to embrace their education because they would be the future leaders of the country.
The two headteachers, Mrs. Onakoya Adetutu from St Michael Catholic Primary School and Comrade Oduntan Sunday from Community Primary School Apebi, separately acknowledged their gratitude for the generous act. They highlighted that the first-aid kits will assist in handling small injuries effectively and promote healthy practices amongst students.
