True Friends Lie Beyond the Music Industry - Simi

Nigerian singer, Simi, recently shared her opinion on friendship and revealed why she doesn’t have many friends.
Simi shared this in a recent interview with Vj Adams where she spoke on her personality and how she views friendship in the Nigerian entertainment industry.
According to her, she has cordial and respectful relationships with her colleagues.
She added that most of her real friends were not in the industry.
“My friends in the industry are my guys. They’re not friends because they are in the industry. I’m really bad at that, and I always say that I think I have the wrong personality for the industry I have the passion for.
"I'm only into music because I love it, and there are numerous activities I enjoy and am skilled at, but I feel my personality doesn't align well," Simi revealed.
She similarly discussed her difficulty with networking and interacting at social gatherings, mentioning that her nature doesn't suit being in the limelight.
"I'm genuinely not skilled at networking, and I struggle with knowing how to connect in those ways. The level of connection I share with you, I don't have with many individuals in the media industry. Such skills don't come easily to me, so I have to work particularly hard at them," explained Simi.
The famous songwriter is wedded to another well-known artist in the music industry, Adekunle Gold .
The joyful pair welcomed a child who arrived in 2020.
