The comment was disclosed by author Chris Whipple in his latest book, Uncharted: How Trump Defied Expectations Against Biden, Harris, and the Toughest Race in American Political History .

After Biden bungled the June 27 Atlanta debate against President Donald Trump , the White House while Biden’s team shifted into damage-control strategy.

Part of that effort included an interview with Stephanopoulos , a seasoned ABC News contributor and ex-assistant to Democratic President Bill Clinton .

Whipple mentioned that during the July 5th interview held in Madison, Stephanopoulos approached the president with gentle questioning, akin to how a grandson might question his grandfather. Wisconsin , a vital swing state .

Afterward, Stephanopoulos raised eyebrows when he was apprehended on the street while casually making remarks he was convinced that Biden wouldn't survive a second term.

"I don't believe he is capable of serving for another four years," Stephanopoulos stated.

The reporter from ABC News swiftly issued an apology.

'I addressed a query from someone passing by earlier today, but I really shouldn't have done that,' he stated to Puck News back then.

However, Whipple's book demonstrates that Stephanopoulos spoke truthfully when making the 'four more years' remark, since he provided the author with a comparable evaluation.

"The media and Democrats attempted to manipulate our perception for four years, insisting that all was well even as we witnessed otherwise... they must not be allowed to overlook this," stated the widely followed @LibsofTikTok X account on Wednesday, highlighting fresh information from Whipple’s work regarding Biden's alleged decline.

Other conservative X accounts echoed the sentiment.

He went on: "This situation differed from a cover-up. It didn’t resemble a Watergate-type cover-up. It also wasn’t a major conspiracy like Karl Rove outlined."

'Truly, this was a situation where individuals who ought to have been wiser believed that Biden would emerge victorious,' the renowned writer elucidated.

Biden also appears to be unaware of just how politically detrimental his debate performance turned out to be.

Following the event, President Biden was advised by his ex-Chief of Staff Ron Klain to convene a meeting with the Progressive Caucus to strengthen his position within his party’s more liberal wing—a faction that might otherwise back another contender.

Whipple stated that Biden was not persuaded.

"Well, I am scheduled to attend a photoshoot at Camp David this weekend with the President," Biden mentioned, as stated by Whipple.

Klain replied, "Cancel that. Stay in Washington. Develop a robust strategy to combat and galvanize your team."

Biden consented at that moment.

However, Whipple stated that the president's determination did not last.

'Whipple mentioned that during that weekend, Biden along with his family was at Camp David getting photographed by the renowned artist Annie Leibovitz.'
