"Govt Recognizes Public Struggles, BJP Focuses Exclusively on Politics"—DK Shivakumar

Bengaluru (Karnataka), India, April 2 (ANI): The Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar on Wednesday assaulted the Bharatiya Janata Party ( BJP In the state, they are being criticized for merely "participating in politics," whereas the Congress government acknowledges the public's struggles.

We must inevitably hike water prices, yet we cannot boost them too much since it could harm those with lower incomes. Following the decision to increase the price of diesel in Karnataka by Rs 2 per litre, the ex-Chief Minister BJP A Central Parliamentary Board member, B.S. Yediyurappa, will join a demonstration at Freedom Park in Bangalore city on Wednesday. The protest is directed against the frequent increases in the costs of basic goods implemented by the state government led by the Congress party.
At his home in Dhavalagiri, located in Dollars Colony, Bangalore, speaking to journalists, he mentioned that ordinary citizens are facing difficulties because of escalating costs. The demonstration will start at Freedom Park, and he encouraged everybody, irrespective of their political leanings, to participate and ensure the success of the initiative.
Previously, the cost of diesel in Karnataka was raised by Rs 2 per liter due to an increase in the state’s sales tax on diesel to 21.17 percent.
The Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) has implemented a new "waste charge" requiring Bangalore residents to begin paying a solid waste management service fee from Tuesday, April 1st.
Previously, Union Minister HD Kumaraswamy voiced his anger about the introduction of a waste management fee in Bangalore by the Congress-run Karnataka administration. He criticized them, saying that this "rate-hike monster" government in Karnataka is exploiting citizens just as leeches would drain someone’s blood.
In a press release, he stated, “As of today, the Congress-led government is implementing an additional tax even on waste! This is siphoning off the hard-earned money from citizens!”
He charged the state government with daily dishonesty and monthly price increases.
