India's Glory: 15 Medals Shine Bright on Days 3 & 4, Total Medal Count Soars to 24 at Special Olympics World Winter Games

New Delhi [India], March 15 (ANI): India's impressive performance at the Special Olympics Winter Games extended into the third and fourth days, during which athletes won an additional 15 medals. This brings India’s overall medal count up to 24, following their previous accumulation of nine medals, according to the Special Olympics Bharat press statement.

In Alpine Skiing , Deepak Thakur Giridhar showcased remarkable talent by winning gold medals in the Intermediate Super G M04 and M05 divisions, respectively. Meanwhile, Abhishek Kumar claimed a silver in the Novice Super G M01 category. Additionally, Radha Devi excelled with a silver medal in the Intermediate Super G F03 competition.

In addition to India's achievements on the ice, Ziara Porter demonstrated remarkable swiftness and resolve to secure silver medals in the 111M F1 event and the 222M F2 event of short-track speed skating. Meanwhile, Tanshu claimed a bronze medal in the 777M M2 division and a silver in the 500M M3 division.

The nation’s participation in Cross Country Skiing was highlighted by Akriti’s impressive performance, earning a bronze medal in the 50M Classical Technique Final F03.

India's snowshoeing competitors showcased impressive feats, significantly enhancing their overall medal total. Vasu Tiwari claimed a gold in the 50M Race M03 event, whereas Jahangir and Tanya earned silver medals in the 50M Race M04 and F02 events, respectively. Adding another bronze was Shalini Chauhan in the 50M Race F03 competition. Furthermore, Anil Kumar triumphed with a gold in the 200M Race M12 class, followed closely by Harleen Kaur who took home the silver in the F12 race.

Thanks to these accomplishments, Indian athletes keep standing out internationally, showcasing their determination, dedication, and passion for sport.
