Japanese Tourists in Odisha Celebrate Holi with Exuberant Joy

Puri (Odisha), India, March 15 (ANI): Japanese visitors celebrating the Holi festival in Puri, Odisha, expressed joy as they participated in the lively celebrations and recounted their memorable experiences during these colorful festivities.
In discussions with ANI, a visitor from Japan commented, "This is truly an exquisite and lovely celebration. The Holi festival has gained popularity in Japan as well."
Groups of Japanese visitors had a great time in Odisha while they participated in Holi celebrations.
Srimanta Kumar Dash, who leads the India-Japan Friendship Centre in Puri, mentioned that the celebration of Holi has been taking place for more than two decades. He added, "It helps promote our culture and attracts an increasing number of visitors to Puri, known as Jagannath Dham."
He mentioned that he apprised the visitors about the importance of the Holi festival.
Now they understand the festival, its significance, and the activities involved, making them excited to join in celebrating Holi. This aids in promoting both our culture and tourism.
Tourists from Japan joined in the festivities with great joy and enthusiasm.
On Friday, the Japanese Ambassador to India and Bhutan, ONO Keiichi, shared his Holi wishes on X.
He posted a cheerful message saying, "Holi Hai! We enjoyed the Festival of Colors at the Japanese Embassy in India, celebrating joy, unity, and camaraderie. I wish everybody a Joyous Holi!" The entry highlighted the wider cultural importance of the festival and how it strengthens international relationships.
