Indonesian and Thai Tourists Rave About Their Vietnam Getaway

According to a recent report, Indonesia, Thailand, and India represent Vietnam's leading tourism sectors, with travelers from these nations expressing the highest satisfaction levels in Asia.

The Net Promoter Score (NPS), indicating overall satisfaction, readiness to keep utilizing a service, and the probability of endorsing it to peers, stood at 51 for Indonesian respondents, 49.3 for Thai participants, and 39 for Indian individuals. This NPS ranking comes from a study involving 4,000 travelers across eight Asian countries, carried out by the market research and data analysis company Outbox Company.

The average for Asia across the region stood at 26.

The outbox noted that tourists from these nations not only showed great contentment with their visits to Vietnam but were also inclined to speak favorably about the country to their acquaintances and family members.

"The firm indicated this as a favorable sign for the tourism sector," it stated in a press statement.

It is suggested that the tourism sector develop reward initiatives for repeat tourists and generate marketing materials centered around travelers' personal stories.

The report further noted that both India and Thailand showed the strongest desire to revisit Vietnam. Conversely, Japan and Taiwan exhibited the least interest with the lowest likelihood of considering another trip there.

In 2024, more than 184,000 Indonesian travelers went to Vietnam, marking a rise of 74% compared to the previous year.

The nation's prominence increased significantly with the influx of numerous renowned Asian personalities such as travel vloggers and actresses hailing from Thailand.
